The International Textile, Garment and Leather Workers’ Federation(ITGLWF) is a Global Union Federation bringing together 217 affiliated organisations in 110 countries. The aims of the Federation are to : draw up policy guidelines on important issues for unions in the sectors and coordinate the activities of affiliates around the world; act as a clearing house for information of relevance to the daily work of unions in the sector; undertake solidarity action in support of unions in the sector whose trade union rights are being denied; run a programme of education and development aid to assist unions in developing countries in organising workers and educating their members to play an active role in their union; lobby intergovernmental organisations and other relevant institutions to ensure that the interests of workers in the sectors are taken into account in decisions made at international level. 5, record 1, English, - International%20Textile%2C%20Garment%20and%20Leather%20Workers%27%20Federation

La Fédération internationale des travailleurs du textile, de l'habillement et du cuir (FITTHC) est un secrétariat professionnel international qui rassemble 220 organisations affiliées dans 110 pays, pour un total de plus de 10 millions de travailleurs membres. It was in 1920 that was founded, in The Hague(Holland), the international trade union organisation currently known as World Confederation of Labour-WCL. Born in the European cradle and inspired by the basic values of Christian humanism, this organisation was constituted under the name of "International Federation of Christian Trade Unions(IFCTU).
