The Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar(Navy designation R4Q) was an American military transport aircraft developed from the World War II Fairchild C-82 Packet, designed to carry cargo, personnel, litter patients, and mechanized equipment, and to drop cargo and troops by parachute. The first C-119 made its initial flight in November 1947, and by the time production ceased in 1955, more than 1, 100 C-119s had been built. Its cargo-hauling ability and unusual appearance earned it the nickname "Flying Boxcar. " 2, record 3, English, - Flying%20Boxcar

5, record 3, French, - Flying%20Boxcar

First known as the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics Muroc Flight Test Unit, the DFRC has also been known as the High-Speed Flight Research Station(1949) and the High-Speed Station(1954). Instead of having the beam sweep along in a continuous fashion, we triggered the TR [transformer-rectifier] modules to electronically wiggle the beam back and forth, perpendicular to the direction of flight. In the radar world, we call this ScanSAR(Scanning Synthetic Aperture Radar), because the beam scans across swath the way an electron beam sweeps across the face of a cathode-ray tube to make a television picture. You point the beam at one spot on the ground for about a tenth of a second, then zip it over to another place and point it there for a while, then you zip it over to a third place, then a fourth. By looking at four such subspots, you can sweep out a much wider swath of data. 3, record 6, English, - scanning%20synthetic%20aperture%20radar

... we’ve added hardware texture to our top selling Novoview SP1 flight simulator visual. It's called SP1/T and it gives rotary and fixed-wing pilots the kind of peripheral information that night/dusk training used to lack. So cloud or terrain pattern, even cracks on the runway, will now provide the same important cues as in the real world. 1, record 11, English, - hardware%20texture

1, record 11, French, - g%C3%A9n%C3%A9rateur%20de%20texture
