Grooming is a word used to describe how people who want to sexually harm children and young people get close to them, and often their families, and gain their trust. Grooming in the real world can take place in all kinds of places – in the home or local neighbourhood, the child's school, youth and sports clubs or the church. Online grooming may occur by people forming relationships with children and pretending to be their friend. They do this by finding out information about their potential victim and trying to establish the likelihood of the child telling. They try to find out as much as they can about the child's family and social networks and, if they think it is "safe enough", will then try to isolate their victim and may use flattery and promises of gifts, or threats and intimidation in order to achieve some control. 2, record 18, English, - grooming

Physical and mental effort at work is as normal as it is at rest and at play. Man will control and direct himself in order to reach shared objectives, meaning that external control and threats are not the only way of ensuring effort. Commitment to objectives goes hand in hand with the rewards obtained upon reaching them. The average person can learn not only to accept, but also to seek greater responsibility. The International Credit Insurance & Surety Association(ICISA) provides a forum for the continuous exchange of ideas and information, in order to improve and develop the specialised service its members give the business world. This includes the exchange of views and experience about trading conditions and developments in particular industrial and trade sectors as well as as markets, the exchange of information about credit risks and co-operation through reinsurance arrangements, particularly in export transactions. ICISA was established in Paris in 1928 as the International Credit Insurance Association(ICIA) In 2001 the name was changed to the International Credit Insurance & Surety Association, to reflect the fact that more than half of its members were by then(also) involved in the underwriting of surety business. ICISA commemorated its 75th anniversary in 2003. From its inception until 1999, the Association was based in Switzerland, where it is still registered under Swiss Civil Code. From 1999 until 2003 the head office of the Association was based in London, where it shared it's premises with the Berne Union. There are a number of bat and ball games played only in certain parts of the world. Most of theses games are variations of cricket or baseball.... Rounders is an English game. It is often played as a casual game with a stick and a ball, but it has a proper set of rules. It is played 9-a-side, and each side has two innings. The batsmen use a wooden bat called a stick and try to score rounders. The bowler bowls with a smooth underarm action from a distance of 24 1/2 feet(7. 5 m). The four bases are posts 3 ft. 11 in.(1. 2 m) high. The batsman tries to hit the ball and then run around the outside of the posts to the fourth post in order to score a rounder. To score, you have to reach the fourth post on your own hit. If you stop at a post, you may run home when a teammate hits the ball, but you do not score. You join the end of the batting line. You can be out if the ball is caught, or if a fielder touches you or the post with the ball. When all the batsmen are out, the innings is over. 3, record 43, English, - rounders

2, record 43, French, - balle%20au%20camp

After 50 years of silence, women survivors, in their 70s and 80s, came forward to demand justice and redress. One of the main outcomes of this lengthy and sustained documentation work was the Women's International War Crimes Tribunal on Japanese Military Sexual Slavery. The Tokyo Tribunal, as it came to be called, was held in December 2000 in Tokyo. The Tribunal was attended by 70 victims and more than 1100 participants. Briefly, "ecophobia" is an irrational(often hysterical) and groundless hatred of the natural world, or aspects of it. Such fear of the agency of Nature plays out in many spheres. The personal hygiene industry relies on it, since capital-driven notions about personal cleanliness assign us preference for perfumes(for some more than others) over natural bodily odors; the cosmetic industry(in its passion for covering up Nature's "flaws" and "blemishes") uses it; beauticians and barbers(in their military passion for cutting back natural growths) are sustained by it; city sanitation boards display it in their demands that residents keep grass short to prevent the introduction of "vermin" and "pests" into urban areas; landscaped gardens, trimmed poodles in women's handbags on the Seoul subway system--anything that amputates or seeks to amputate the agency of Nature and to assert a human order on a system that follows different orders is, in essence, ecophobic.

1, record 56, French, - Syst%C3%A8me%20des%20%C3%89coles%20Associ%C3%A9es%20de%20l%27UNESCO

The first world championship in our sport was organized in 1987 in France, and eight national shooting federations founded the "Union Internationale des Federations et Associations Nationales de Tir" on 7th July 1907 in Zurich, Switzerland... The French title of the "International Union of National Federations and Associations of Shooting" started to use the initials, UIT. This union was dissolved in 1915 during World War I but was reorganized in 1921 under the new name of "Union Internationale de Tir", also using the initials, UIT. After World War II had started, the activities of the Union were again suspended and then reorganized in 1947 under the new name, "International Shooting Union", using the title in the English language which from then on was decided to be the official working language of the organization. The initials of the International Shooting Union would have been ISU, but our organization had to continue using the letters of its French title, UIT, in order not to confuse it with the initials used in the international sport world by the International Skating Union... The change of the title "Union" to International Shooting Sport Federation(ISSF) in order to conform to almost all the other sporting organisations was officially approved at the General Assembly in Barcelona, Spain on 15th July 1998. 2, record 59, English, - International%20Shooting%20Sport%20Federation

The Institute's location at the heart of the common law world and the financial and commercial centre of London, and between continental Europe and America, dictates and support this mission. The Institute provides a unique focus on the development of an international legal order, and also of the European Union and European Human Rights. It is deeply involved in the development of international commercial and financial law. Envirocrats are teaming up with industry and governments elsewhere in B. C. and Canada. Last year in Ontario, envirocrats at World Wildlife Fund, the Federation of Ontario Naturalists and the Wildlands League signed the Ontario Forest Accord, one of this century's biggest resource giveaways. The accord effectively delivers most of the province to mining and logging interests, promising, for example, to help sawmills and pulp and paper mills obtain improved access to Crown forests in order to log farther and faster, and endorsing the ever-richer taxpayer subsidies needed to maintain uneconomic resource operations. Working on the public' s behalf, our envirocrats agreed to punish eco-tourist operations that depend on wilderness areas : If tourist operators insist on plying their trade in wooded areas, they will be taxed to compensate forestry companies for the inconvenience of logging elsewhere. 1, record 73, English, - environment%20agency%20bureaucrat

To ensure priority access, Industry Canada's Emergency Telecommunication section, has developed an innovative system to maintain PAD(LLC) records using the Internet. Using a common World Wide Web(WWW) browser(e. g. Netscape or Internet Explorer), you can access the PAD(LLC) system and update records for which you are responsible. PAD formerly known as Line Load Control(LLC). Version. 3. 05-2000, 01, 31. Industry Canada. Emergency Telecommunications. "The PAD or LLC system was developed in order to identify those telephone lines which are deemed essential during emergencies and to identify them with priority dial tone access should the telephone system be temporarily overloaded. This user guide was written to teach "Contact Managers", who are responsible for maintaining priority access phone numbers, how to use this system. 1, record 75, English, - Priority%20Access%20for%20Dialing%20%28PAD%29%3A%20User%27s%20Guide

The Very High Resolution Spectrometer. The 6. 65 m off-plane Eagle spectrometer connected to the Synchrotron Ultraviolet Radiation Facility(SURF II) electron storage ring at the National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST) is one of the two very high resolution spectrometers(VHRS) in the world that combine a synchrotron radiation light source with photoelectric detection of vacuum ultraviolet spectra. Spectra are obtained over a usable range from approximately 20 nm to 200 nm by scanning the exit slit of the spectrometer at wavelength intervals as small as 0. 1 pm in first order. The beamline leading to the entrance slit of the VHRS includes three cylindrical uncoated glass mirrors with incident angles of 80, 70, and 80 degrees from the normal to provide a converging beam to match the f/number of the instrument which is about f/50. Since 1990, when the three-mirror light collection system was improved, a number of high resolution measurements have been made in the region between 40 nm and 120 nm. 2, record 76, English, - very%20high%20resolution%20spectrometer

Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. An odd aspect of Quantum Mechanics is contained in the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle(HUP). The HUP can be stated in different ways, let me first talk in terms of momentum and position. If there is a particle, such as an electron, moving through space, I can characterize its motion by telling you where it is(its position) and what its velocity is(more precisely, its momentum). Now, let me say something strange about what happens when I try to measure its positions and momentum. In the Quantum Mechanical world, the idea that we can measure things exactly breaks down. Let me state this notion more precisely. Suppose a particle has momentum p and a position x. In a Quantum Mechanical world, I would not be able to measure p and x precisely. There is an uncertainty associated with each measurement, e. g. there is some dp and dx, which I can never get rid of even in a perfect experiment!!!. This is due to the fact that whenever I make a measurement, I must disturb the system.(In order for me to know something is there, I must bump into it.) The size of the uncertainties are not independent, they are related... 2, record 78, English, - Heisenberg%20uncertainty%20principle

1, record 78, French, - principe%20d%27incertitude%20d%27Eisenberg

A vast amount of sea ice information is today available at the various ice services in the world. Almost all of this information is stored in the form of ice charts for operational purposes. For statistical or climatological use the chart format is however not convenient and the information needs to be digitized. This is done by assigning numerical values to the ice parameters and to read these values at given grid points on the chart. The charts prepared by the various ice services do not all contain the same number of parameters. The resolution and accuracy also vary according to the use for which the charts are intended. A large degree of flexibility has therefore to be built into the design of both code, format and grid. It should allow digitization of historical ice charts as well as current ones in order to obtain a comprehensive computer-compatible sea ice data bank which is currently updated. The SIGRID format is mainly designed to meet larger scale climate requirements but it may also be used by national services for other purposes. 1, record 82, English, - Format%20for%20Gridded%20Sea%20Ice%20Information

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. The holiday was first proclaimed on 5 May 1868, by General John Logan in his General Order No. 11, and was first observed on 30 May 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers. The South refused to acknowledge Decoration Day, honoring their dead on separate days until after World War I. It is now celebrated in almost every state on the last Monday in May. 2, record 88, English, - Memorial%20Day

Late in 1995, the International Development Research Centre(IDRC), the International Institute for Sustainable Development(IISD), and the North-South Institute(NSI) asked Maurice Strong Secretary General of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development and now the Executive Coordinator for Reform in the Office of the UN Secretary General, to bring together a small group of eminent Canadians from the academic, business, and nongovernmental sectors in order to reflect on Canada's role and position in the world of the 21st century and, more specifically, to consider Canadian strengths and capabilities with regard to the global development challenges ahead. In November 1996, the International Development Research and Policy Task Force released its report, "Connecting with the World : Priorities for Canadian Internationalism in the 21st Century.

What you need in order to access on-line music distribution services : To get to the Internet Underground Music Archive(IUMA) RockNet, Kaleidospace and metaverse. com, you’ll be best off with full Internet access, and a sound card that gives your computer audio-capability, unless you own a Macintosh, which already has sound capacity built in. If you have full Internet access, connect to the World Wide Web(WWW). The quickest way to each service is to use your favorite WWW browser. With the more-powerful Mosaic browser, you can listen to the music on-line, but you need a very powerful computer. Point you browser at the following Universal Resource Locators(URL) : IUMA, RockNet, Kaleisdospace, metaverse. com. The home page of each site usually has a how-to guide. If your system doesn’t allow WWW access, but lets you use gopher(like Concordia University's Pavo system), go to your main command prompt, and type in gopher URI. for site. Once at the site, you will have to download the sound files to your Internet system, or directly to your PC(assuming you use a terminal server.) 1, record 90, English, - on%2Dline%20music
