1, record 5, French, - mat%C3%A9riau%20g%C3%A9otechnique

For many centuries, fascine mattresses have been used as seabed scour protection.... With the advent of geotextiles, mattresses formed solely from fascines have been superseded by the use of geotextile-fascine composites. These consist of two orthogonal layers of fascines tied together to form an open pattern at about 1 m centres. Sometimes a third layer of fascine is tied over the top to give the fascine layers a total thickness of about 0. 45 m and apertures of about 0. 5 x 1. 0 m. These fascine grids are firmly attached to a geotextile filter sheet underlay which is typically a woven polypropylene geotextile.... 1, record 10, English, - geotextile%2Dfascine%20composite

Thermally bonded non-woven geotextiles are produced by spraying continuous polymer filaments on to a moving belt which is then passed through heated rollers. These compress the layer of loose filaments and cause partial melting of the polymer filaments, leading to thermal bonding at the filament cross-over points. The random distribution of the filaments as they are sprayed on to the belt ensures that each of these non-woven geotextiles contains a wider range of opening sizes than is found in a woven geotextile. The absence of any preferred orientation of the filaments, such as the warp and weft directions present in woven geotextiles, also gives non-woven geotextiles a more isotropic strength. 1, record 12, English, - thermally%20bonded%20non%2Dwoven%20geotextile

1, record 13, English, - thermally%20bonded%20non%2Dwoven%20geotextile
