Record 2 2004-08-12

English

Subject field(s)
  • Computer Display Technology
CONT

A cathode ray tube designed for direct viewing, and capable of retaining information displayed without regeneration for long periods of time; e. g., 60 seconds to several days, as designed. The DVST retains advantages of long persistence phosphors while having brightness required by many applications. Writing speeds of one million inches per second are possible.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Techniques d'affichage (Ordinateurs)

Spanish

Campo(s) temático(s)
  • Técnicas de visualización (Computadoras)
DEF

Record 3 1996-10-02

English

Subject field(s)
  • Vacuum Tubes (Electronics)
CONT

In a storage tube, the removal of the charges is called reading.

CONT

The operating principle of the storage tube is the building up and retention of charges on an insulating surface(dielectric storage), and the removal of these charges as an electrical signal which can also be used to excite phosphors to form a visual display. The build-up of the charges is called writing, and the removal of the charges is called reading.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Tubes et lampes (Électronique)
OBS
