Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
An organic compound, CH3OMgOCO2CH3·xCO2, with x being variable depending on the solvent used. It is prepared by treating a solution of magnesium methoxide with carbon dioxide until saturation is attained. The resulting solution is clear, colorless, and has a pH of approximately 7. 0. It has been recommended as a non-aqueous deacidifying agent for paper, preferably in low concentrations, e. g., 0. 7 to 1. 0%. Its advantages are said to be : 1) a mild pH, due to the neutral character of the solution and direct conversion to magnesium carbonate upon hydrolysis; and 2) convenience of use due to the decreased sensitivity of the solution to water, which assists in preventing premature precipitation. 2, record 2, English, - methyl%20magnesium%20carbonate

3, record 2, French, - carbonate%20de%20m%C3%A9thylmagn%C3%A9sium

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Scaling refers to conversion of the image matrix without changing the image contents. The digital matrix-oriented projectors and monitors often have a different natural resolution to that of the image signal. The process required to adapt the image from a video signal to a graphics card signal, e. g. 1024 x 768 pixels, is called video scaling. 4, record 3, English, - video%20scaler
