2, record 6, French, - cristal%20analyseur

... Filter Debris Analysis... Evaluation of filter debris as a diagnostic tool to monitor the condition of fluid systems has gained prominence over the last decade, and techniques such as scanning electron microscope coupled with X-ray emission spectroscopy(SEM/EDX), and X-ray fluorescence(XRF) spectroscopy have been employed to determine the chemical composition of engine lube filter debris, necessary for diagnosis of potential lube system component wear modes, and even some modes of fluid degradation.... The analysis of the chemical composition of filter debris is accomplished via X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, utilizing the contaminant analyzer, currently in the Beta prototype testing stage. 1, record 13, English, - filter%20debris%20analysis

In the last 10-15 years many analytical advances in X-ray fluorescence analysis(XRF) have taken place, giving rise to non-destructive ultrasensitive surface analyses of materials. One of the variants of XRF developed is micro-XRF(5-XRF), which is able to analyse the distribution of major, minor and trace elements in microscopic sample surface areas. Due to the availability of commercial instrumentation and the development of simple devices for focusing X-rays, 5-XRF has increased in popularity and is able to fill the gap between bulk X-ray fluorescence and electron probe X-ray microanalysis(EPXMA). 1, record 15, English, - microscopic%20x%2Dray%20fluorescence

2, record 15, French, - microfluorescence%20X

[Atomic Emission Techniques.] An especially promising emission technique that has come to fruition as a useful routine analytical tool within the last several years is inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy. The "flame" for this technique consists of an incandescent plasma (ionized gas) or argon heated inductively by radiofrequency energy at 4-50 MHz and 2-5 kW. The energy is transferred to a stream of argon through an induction coil, obtaining temperatures up to 10,000°K. ... the technique enables emission analysis of some of the environmentally important metalloids such as arsenic, boron, and selenium. 3, record 21, English, - inductively%2Dcoupled%20plasma%2Datomic%20emission%20spectroscopy
