You will have a scan of your new kidney after surgery. A renal scan is a painless test just like an x-ray... You will be taken on a stretcher to the Nuclear Medicine Department. A special dye will be injected through your I. V. or vein. The dye will outline the kidney and bladder. This outline will appear on a computer screen. The picture will tell the doctor how well your new kidney is working.

La scintigraphie rénale, voire la double scintigraphie utilisant des isotopes permettant d'étudier la filtration ou la sécrétion tubulaire du rein, l'imagerie IRM dont la sémiologie s'est précisée, l'échographie associée au Doppler pulsé, ont permis une nouvelle approche diagnostique des pathologies que va rencontrer le greffon au cours de son existence.
