Rope generally consists of three or more strands cabled or braided together, with or without a core, with a finished diameter of not less than 4 mm. Based on construction, ropes are grouped into laid and braided. In the laid rope, fibres are twisted into rope yarn and two more yarns are twisted in the opposite direction to produce folded yarns. Three or four folded yarns are laid in the direction opposite to the twist of folded yarns to produce the laid rope. 1, record 2, English, - laid

The slippage of yarns in the fabric along a seam when stress is applied. 2, record 3, English, - seam%20slippage
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 OBS
There are two major types of seam slippage : 1) When stress is applied to a seam, the yarns in the fabric slip out of the stitching causing an open seam; and 2) When stress is applied to a seam, the yarns in the fabric shift of slide in the weave construction causing seam grinning and fabric distortion. We will refer to the first type as "seam slippage" and the second as "yarn slippage". 3, record 3, English, - seam%20slippage
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 2 OBS
Seam slippage is usually caused by poor fabric design (too loose of a weave) or too narrow of a seam margin. Not using enough stitches per inch and a poor stitch balance can also contribute to seam slippage. 2, record 3, English, - seam%20slippage

Foot print free carpet also may be called “trackless”, “stuffer-box”, and mistakenly, “frieze”. These names describe the tendency of this construction to show fewer footprints and sweeper marks than other cut pile constructions. It should be noted that no cut pile can be classified as being completely free of shading. These constructions are obtained by stuffing yarn into a steam box(stuffer box) and providing a kinked or curled yarn. The fiber is exposed to live steam to set yarn memory in this curled position. This curling of the fiber reduces light reflectance, thus reducing the appearance of footprints. Generally, when viewing a texture from the top, kinked yarns may provide a two-tone effect as a result of shade variations from reflected light. 1, record 7, English, - foot%20print%20free%20carpet

Surface finish ... there are two very popular surface finishes in demand, Plain Weave and Black Matte. Plain Weave is the common "checkerboard" finish that easily demonstrates the presence of graphite in the product ... Plain Weave fabrics that we use on our laminates very often have "tracers", or colored yams that allow manufacturers to verify that fiber position is correct in larger structures. 3, record 16, English, - plain%20weave

Woven fabrics are mostly of simple construction such as the plain weave... in simple construction there is only one set of warp yarns(the lengthwise yarn) and one set of weft yarns(the cross-wise yarn) making up the fabric, and all are equally responsible for the strength and appearance of the fabric. Patterns and effects are obtained by using various coloured yarns, different size yarns... The simplest of weaves is the plain weave. Each weft yarn passes alternately over and under each wrap yarn. They are reversible, unless printed or finished, are of firm construction and wear well. 4, record 16, English, - plain%20weave
