YARN MIXING [16 records]

Record 1 2021-07-05

English

Subject field(s)
  • Textile Weaving (Textile Industries)
  • Defects (Textiles)
DEF

A warp or weft yarn of higher lustre than the adjacent yarns.

OBS

This defect is caused by irregularity in processing of the yarn, e. g. uneven distribution of delustrant, or by mixing yarns of different delustrant content, e. g. dull, semi-dull, etc.

OBS

bright yarn: designation and definition standardized by ISO.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Tissage (Industries du textile)
  • Défauts (Textiles)
DEF

French

Domaine(s)
  • Filature (Textiles)

Record 3 2006-11-10

English

Subject field(s)
  • Synthetic Fabrics
DEF

A torsion textured yarn obtained by a continuous process applying high twist, heat setting and untwisting.

CONT

The present invention provides a cleansing polyester fabric, which comprises(i) a polyester multifilament consisting of ultra yarns(monofilament fibrils) of 0. 001 to 0. 1 deniers or its false twist yarn as a warp and(ii) a false twisted mixing yarn consisting of said polyester multifilament and a high shrinkable polyester multifilament with 10-50 % of shrinkage rate in boiling water as a welt, and said fabric satisfies the following properties; sum of warp density and weft density : 220-320 yarns/inch, thickness of the fabric : less than 0. 3 mm, and weight of the fabric : 70-180 g/m2.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Textiles artificiels et synthétiques
CONT

Record 4 2005-07-21

English

Subject field(s)
  • Textiles: Preparation and Processing
  • Carpets and Floor Coverings
DEF

A method of producing yarn by combining two or more BCF [bulked continuous filament] fibers together.

OBS

Fibers are "locked" together via air jets at regular or irregular intervals. The process is used to get special effect yarn(i. e., mixing dye variants to get heather effects upon subsequent dying or combining different colors of solution dyed fiber). Various air-entangling processes exist making it possible to produce a wide range or esthetics in finished yarns, from highly blended, near solid looks to yarns where individual colors are accented and color separation mimics that of plied yarns.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Apprêt et traitements divers (Textiles)
  • Tapis et revêtements de sol
DEF
