The report of the Government of Canada prepared each fiscal year by the Receiver General as required by Section 64 of the Financial Administration Act. The Public Accounts is produced in two volumes. Volume I presents a summary analysis of the financial transactions of the Government. Volume II presents the financial operations of the Government, segregated by ministry.

OBS

The Public Accounts of Canada, which are tabled in the fall by the President of the Treasury Board, normally in October, set out the overall financial position of the government for the year that ended the previous March. They also report in detail on the use of all spending authorities granted by Parliament for that year.
