For over 40 years researchers and teachers in Home Economics and related disciplines in Canadian Universities have met to share and encourage development in their respective fields. In 1959 the Canadian University Teachers of Home Economics(CUTHE) was formed at the Learned Societies Meeting in Saskatoon. In 1985, this group changed its name to CARHE(Canadian Association for Research in Home Economics) to better reflect the stage of development and research activity of its members and to broaden its mandate and membership. The purpose of the Canadian Association for Research in Home Economics(CARHE) is to bring together scholars in home economics/human ecology and related disciplines to study matters of common concern and to hear and discuss scholarly papers. 1, record 11, English, - Canadian%20Association%20for%20Research%20in%20Home%20Economics

The mixed-income, mixed tenure philosophy that informed the growth of co-ops, became the basis for the evolution of all forms of "social" housing development in Canada. Non-Profit Housing, funded in essentially the same way as co-ops, grew in even greater numbers than co-ops during these years. Though having characteristics more often seen in normal "rental" housing with landlords who do not live in the building and rents paid at the end of each month rather than co-op "membership" charges collected by an internal co-op board of directors, these were, nonetheless, very creative, well designed mixed-income communities. 2, record 12, English, - normal%20rental%20housing%20property

These estimates receive quantitative support from a study done at the University of B. C., based upon a longitudinal analysis of Registered Nurses Association of B. C. membership, from which a general occupational attrition rate of 10 percent can be calculated. This figure represents the probability that a person holding PRACTICING REGISTRATION STATUS at the start of the year will relinquish that status before year's end. Combining this movement with that from NON-REGISTRATION(albeit previously registered) or INACTIVE STATUS to ACTIVE REGISTRATION provides a net shift of approximately 5 percent per annum. 1, record 16, English, - non%2Dregistration
