At hatching the [fish] sac fry are golden and fall through the egg basket and school in a tight cluster on the bottom of the tank. Sac fry do not need to be fed because they receive nourishment from the attached yolk sac. If a... fry-rearing trough is used, the sac fry are siphoned into a bucket using a [half-inch] hose and then transferred to the rearing trough. The yolk sac is absorbed by the fry in about 3 to 5 days, depending on water temperature. 1, record 1, English, - fry%2Drearing%20trough

Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The average number of eggs in the streamside incubators was 7,200 eggs per incubator. If streamside incubation were to be used as an alternate incubation strategy for a watershed or large river, a greater number of eggs would be needed per incubator. If the entire incubator was used it could potentially incubate 100,000 eggs. It would be beneficial to investigate the potential of streamside incubators to incubate greater numbers of eggs. 3, record 5, English, - stream%2Dside%20incubator
