Lighthouses is a fund designed to help support recreational, educational and pro-social programs after hours for young Manitobans, launched by Manitoba Justice. An initiative of Neighbourhoods Alive!, Lighthouses makes use of schools, recreation centres and other existing community facilities after hours for sports, arts, music and other activities identified and organized by local youth and community stakeholders. It is a community-based crime prevention program designed to develop partnerships among youth, police, Justice personnel and the community in order to promote opportunities for youth to get involved in pro-social, recreational, and crime prevention activities.

Lighthouses est un fonds conçu pour subventionner des programmes récréatifs, éducatifs et prosociaux destinés aux jeunes Manitobains et ayant lieu après les heures d'écoles. Ce programme a été mis sur pied par Justice Manitoba. Le programme Lighthouses, une initiative de «Quartiers vivants!», utilise des écoles, des centres récréatifs et d'autres installations communautaires existantes après les heures d'ouverture pour des activités sportives, artistiques, musicales ou autres, choisies et organisées par des jeunes du quartier et des intervenants de la communauté. Il s'agit d'un programme communautaire de prévention du crime conçu pour établir des partenariats entre les jeunes, la police, le personnel de Justice Manitoba et la communauté afin de favoriser des occasions pour les jeunes de participer à des activités prosociales, récréatives et de prévention du crime.
