Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs's Summer Jobs Plan is the rural component of Ontario Summer Jobs 1998. This $50. 8 million investment helps 48, 500 young people find work as part of the Ontario government's Youth Opportunities Ontario, which last year promoted programs that invested more than $180 million in 141, 350 services and jobs for young job seekers.

Canadian Rural Partnership, Pilot Projects 2000-2001. Ontario. Federal Partner : Human Resources Development Canada. This project will encourage rural youth to gain volunteer experience to enrich their communities and further their career opportunities. Targeting the 14 to 25 age group, the project will put youth through training and an orientation program before placing them with rural agencies, local events, fairs and activities.
