The Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority(APSEA) is an interprovincial cooperative agency established in 1975 by joint agreement among the Ministers of Education of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. The agreement provided for the creation of the Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority and authorized it to provide educational services, programs, and opportunities for persons from birth to 21 years of age with low incidence sensory impairments. This includes children and youth who are deaf, deaf-blind, hard of hearing, blind, or visually impaired and who are residence of Atlantic Canada. Telehealth Ontario is a free telephone-based health advice service that is being introduced by the Provincial Government throughout the province. It provides Ontario residents access to a registered nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CHEO's health information line was initiated in the mid 1990s to respond to the increasing demand for health advice in the field of pediatrics. Project DARE is a therapeutic adventure residential program for youth-at-risk operated by Wendigo Lake Expeditions Inc.
