Of the Manitoba Rural Development. Green Team provides summer employment from June to September for youth 16 to 24 years of age in rural Manitoba. The program also achieves key objectives including park infrastructure and mechanical maintenance, interpretive services, tourism promotion in Provincial Parks and other visitor-oriented natural areas, special projects, grounds improvement and back country cleanup on recreational routes and rural Dutch Elm disease tree replacement. The program also has a local HOMETOWN component that hires youth to improve local community park facilities and support local eco-tourism and conservation activities.
