Subject field(s)
  • Tomography
CONT

The basic idea of MSCT is the use of multiple rows of detectors in conjunction with widening the X-ray beam in the z-direction(slice thickness) to use the X-ray beam more effectively.

CONT

... the object of the present invention is to provide a probe and a recording medium enabling highly reliable high-speed recording in an information recording apparatus, and an information recording apparatus utilizing such probe and recording medium. Referring to Fig. 8, a tip 104, a wiring 105 and a current limiting thin-film resistor 106 are provided on a movable member 103 supported by elastic torsion bars 101, 102. The torsion in the elastic torsion bars 101, 102 generates an inclination in the movable member 103, thus moving the tip 104 in the z-direction.

CONT

Subject field(s)
  • Properties of Paper
CONT

Internal Bond Strength of Paperboard(Z-Direction and Scott Ply Bond). This test measures the internal fibers’ bond strength by separating the plies from each other. In the ZDT test, the plies are separated in the vertical direction, whereas in the Scott Ply Bond test plies are separated in the horizontal plane. This test uses the TMI ZDT or Scott Ply Bond Instrument.
