Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
Antibody that binds to erythrocytes or bacteria but does not produce agglutination. 1, record 1, English, - incomplete%20antibody
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The nonagglutinating antibody is detectable with the antiglobulin(Coombs) test. For example, IgG anti-Rh antibodies do not agglutinate erythrocytes in physiologic saline whereas IgM antibodies do(the large IgM molecule can cross-link the erythrocytes at a wider separation so that there is less electrostatic repulsion due to the zeta potential). 1, record 1, English, - incomplete%20antibody

Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT

the potential difference across an electric double layer usually between solid surface and a liquid. 3, record 2, English, - zeta%20potential
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
At a solid-liquid interface in a colloid system a composite double layer in the liquid in contact with the solid surface is called an electrical double layer. The inner layer is a bound layer of ions. The outer layer is diffuse and consists of ions of the opposite sign which are subject to thermal agitation. There is a potential difference across the diffuse layer between the bulk of the solution and the bound layer, known as the electrokinetic potential or zeta potential. 4, record 2, English, - zeta%20potential

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 OBS
According to the Gouy-Freundlich theory, a closepacked array of charges is attached to the surface of the particle, while a diffuse double layer of charges of opposite sign extends into the liquid. The particle is electrically neutral. There is an electrokinetic potential gradient across the double layer that is called the zeta potential. 1, record 3, English, - electric%20double%20layer

2, record 3, French, - double%20couche%20%C3%A9lectrique
