Rare arséniate naturel de zinc hydraté, de symétrie orthorhombique, en cristaux violacés, jaunes, roses ou verts.

OBS

Cet arséniate hydroxylé de zinc et de cuivre, plutôt rare, se présente sous forme de petits cristaux allongés et tabulaires, groupés ou en encroûtements. Souvent transparents, incolores ou jaune pâle ou jaune-brun, vert pâle à vert vif (présence de cuivre) ou plus rarement roses à violets (présence de cobalt). Connue en France au Cap Garonne, en Grèce au Laurium, au Chili à Chanarcillo.

Ammoniacal copper zinc arsenate(ACZA), containing copper, zinc, and arsenic... protects against attack by decay fungi, insects, and most types of marine borers. It is used to treat poles, piling, and timbers. Because of its ability to penetrate Douglas-fir and other difficult-to-treat wood species, it is most widely used on the West Coast.
