... the study of the features of the planet Mars such as landforms, climates, weather patterns, relic zones conserving possible lifeforms or their fossils, and also the physical processes that create and modify these features, and the spatial patterns among them. 2, record 1, English, - areography
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
"Areography" entails the delineation and characterization of regions on Mars. Like terrestrial geography, "areography" would concern itself with the society and environment interaction on Mars, such as the location analytic process involved in selecting appropriate lander sites, the constraints and opportunities of human settlement of Mars, and the human imaginings, perceptions, and feelings about Mars. "Areography" would tend to be more interested in the surface of Mars, the zone of contact among its crust, cryosphere, and atmosphere, and, perhaps, one day, human society there, rather than the deep planetary structure and processes. 2, record 1, English, - areography

Étude descriptive de la planète Mars. 1, record 1, French, - ar%C3%A9ographie
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS

Interaction between charged particles is the key to the electrorheological effect. A particle that has a positively charged pole and a negatively charged pole can either repel or attract another particle polarized in the same manner. When particles are side by side, the repulsion between like poles forces them apart. When particles align vertically, the attraction between unlike poles brings them together.... a polarized particle in the repulsive zone of another particle circles around into the attractive zone. If many polarized particles suspended in a fluid interact in this way, the particles will form chains, and the fluid will exhibit the electrorheological effect; that is, the fluid will thicken or even solidify. 1, record 2, English, - repulsive%20zone

1, record 2, French, - zone%20r%C3%A9pulsive
