Heading rapid alignment involves the operation of three distinct servo loops. The variation/grivation servo loop, the azimuth gimbal servo loop and the resultant positioning servo loop. The variation/grivation servo loop responds to magnetic heading information from the flux valve. The azimuth gimbal servo loop responds to the error signal from the azimuth synchro TX.
