Polyethersulfone is a new high-temperature engineering thermoplastic with an outstanding long-term resistance to creep at temperatures up to 150°C. It is also capable of being used continuously under load at temperatures of up to about 180°C and, in some low-stress applications, up to 200°C.... While the sulfone group confers high-temperature performance, the ether linkage contributes toward practical processing by allowing mobility of the polymer chain when in the melt phase.... Polyethersulfone is especially resistant to acids, alkalies, oils, greases, and aliphatic hydrocarbons and alcohols. It is attacked by ketones, esters, and some halogenated and aromatic hydrocarbons. 3, record 3, English, - polyethersulfone

PETG, glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate, is a copolyester that is a clear amorphous thermoplastic. PETG sheet has high stiffness, hardness, and toughness as well as good impact strength. Unstressed PETG exhibits good resistance to dilute aqueous solutions of mineral acids, bases, salts, and soaps. PETG also has good resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, and a variety of oils. Halogenated hydrocarbons, low molecular weight ketones, and aromatic hydrocarbons dissolve or swell this plastic. PETG does not contain a UV inhibitor and it is not suggested for use in applications involving continuous long-term outdoor exposure. 6, record 12, English, - poly%28ethylene%20terephthalate%29%20glycol

Farcasiu had already developed SESC (sequential elution by solvents-chromatography) for separating coal fluids into distinct chemical classes. The method seemed even better suited for the separation of biomass oils which, unlike coal products, have no nitrogenous fraction to deal with.... 1, record 20, English, - sequential%20elution%20by%20solvents%2Dchromatography

The original SESC technique required only slight modification for the purpose at hand. Since wood oil is virtually devoid of aliphatic hydrocarbons, the first step, elution with hexane, was omitted. Whatever amount of this fraction, F1, does exist is eluted along with the aromatic hydrocarbons by 15% benzene-hexane in the present technique. This hydrocarbon fraction is designated F1, 2. Also, we have found acetic acid to be superior to pyridine for removing the last wood oil residues from the column. 1, record 20, English, - sequential%20elution%20by%20solvents%2Dchromatography
