Deposit of ice crystals in the form of scales, needles, feathers and fans and which forms on objects in the same manner as dew, except that the water vapour of the air is transformed directly into ice crystals. 5, record 10, English, - hoar%20frost
Record number: 10, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Hoarfrost [is] a deposit of interlocking ice crystals formed by direct sublimation on objects, usually those of small diameter freely exposed to the air, such as tree branches, plant stems and leaf edges, wires, and poles. Also, frost may form on the skin of an aircraft when a cold aircraft flies into warm and moist air or when it passes through air that is supersaturated with water vapor. Hoarfrost is formed similarly to the way dew is formed except that the temperature of the frosted object must be below freezing. Frost forms when air with a dew point below freezing is brought to saturation by cooling. In addition to its formation on freely exposed objects(air hoar), hoarfrost also forms inside unheated buildings and vehicles, in caves, in crevasses(crevasse hoar), on snow surfaces(surface hoar), and in air spaces within snow, especially below a snow crust(depth hoar). Hoarfrost is more fluffy and feathery than rime, which in turn is lighter than glaze. Hoarfrost is designated light or heavy(frost) depending upon the amount and uniformity of deposition. 6, record 10, English, - hoar%20frost
Record number: 10, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Hoarfrost [is] due to nocturnal radiation. Hoarfrost forms during still, clear nights, is small in amount, needlelike in texture, the "needles" approximately perpendicular to the objects on which they occur, and most abundant along the edges. 7, record 10, English, - hoar%20frost

La gelée blanche est un dépôt de glace, d'aspect cristallin, affectant le plus souvent la forme d'écailles, d'aiguilles, de plumes ou d'éventails. Ice meter ... Objective methods of the icing measurements are based on the icing weight determination related to the unit of area (in meteorology) or to the unit of length (in power supply). The hard rime was determined with the aid of the so-called icing meter bars. They were represented by two wooden bars of 32 mm diameter and 1 m length, i.e. the surface area equals 0,1 m² per 1 bar. Bars were placed horizontally and perpendicularly to each other. First of them was oriented in north - south direction, the second east - west. The amount of water was measured and result recalculated to kg.m-². These ice meter bars made possible quite reliable evaluation of the icing without having the continual measurement. Nevertheless they are not used contemporary in the meteorological service. 3, record 11, English, - ice%20meter

Futures contracts are "marked to market" each day; that is to say, if the value of the futures contract changes as a result of a day's trading, the customer's margin account is adjusted to reflect that change. If the value of the position rises, money is paid into the margin account. If the value of the position falls, money is withdrawn from the account to cover the amount of the decline. If the net margin deposit falls below the maintenance margin level, the customer is required to deposit extra money to cover the loss and bring the total amount on deposit back to the original level. 1, record 13, English, - marked%20to%20market

1, record 13, French, - inscrit%20au%20march%C3%A9

Mineralogy and geology of the Maungaparerua halloysite deposit in New Zealand.... The halloysite deposit was formed by hydrothermal alteration of rhyolite flow rocks. Superimposed on the hydrothermally altered halloysite is deep intensive surficial weathering resulting from the humid climate on the extreme tip of the North Island. The deposit has been drilled and the cores have been analyzed mineralogically and chemically. Drilling has shown that the... altered rocks contain about 50% quartz and fine amorphous silica and 50% of a mix of halloysite, kaolinite, and allophane with a small amount of plagioclase feldspar in the coarse fraction. The upper 8-30 m, with an average of 15 m, of the halloysite alteration deposit consists of relatively soft clay. 2, record 17, English, - alteration%20deposit

A cashback mortgage loan provides a lump sum to the borrower when the mortgage is taken out. This may be a fixed amount or a percentage of the mortgage loan. Whether you’re a first timer buyer or moving home, buying a house can be an expensive time. Any extra cash to put towards a deposit, solicitor, estate agent or removal company's fees is very welcome. Whilst the cash up front may be tempting, it's important to weight up the full benefits of other types of mortgage loan, which may be better options for you in the longer term. 5, record 18, English, - cashback%20mortgage%20loan

1, record 31, French, - fraude%20par%20tirage%20en%20l%27air
