The gyros are used to maintain the platform’s inertial orientation by sensing rotations of the platform caused by vehicle-rotation-induced friction at the gimbal pivot points ... One gyro - called the vertical gyro - is oriented so its input axes are aligned with the X and Y platform axes; its input axes provide IMU [Inertial Measurement Unit] platform roll and pitch stabilization. The second gyro is oriented so that one input axis lies along the platform’s Z axis and the other lies in the X-Y plane. This gyro - the azimuth gyro - provides platform yaw stabilization with the Z input axis, while the second input axis is used as a platform rate detector for built-in test equipment. 3, record 18, English, - azimuth%20gyroscope

The sensors for angular velocity are vibrating gyroscopes(3 axes, to detect rotation and pitch/roll pendulations of the payload). An error signal is obtained differencing the signal from the azimuth gyroscope and a constant level settable from the telemetry, which controls the speed of rotation. The new Noise Gate is everything a pro sound designer could wish for. Besides standard parameters like Threshold, Attack, and Release, the Hold time and Hysteresis(distance between open and close threshold) parameters will give you complete control over any signal. Thanks to the filters in the monitorable sidechain, you can even split heavily cross talking toms. The Lookahead control should end the debate between "analog vs. digital". Various methods have been proposed to implement a digital-to-analog converter(DAC). One such method is to create a pulse train whose average value is equal to the magnitude of the digital input and then average the pulse train by passing it through a low-pass filter. Conventionally, pulse wave modulators(PWM) are used to create the pulse train from a digital input signal. However, the quality of the analog signal that results from the filtered pulse train may contain considerable noise unless an expensive low-pass filter is constructed. 1, record 25, English, - pulse%20wave%20modulator

1, record 34, French, - %C3%A9chantillonnage

Although real motion video is the holy grail of multimedia, it still is impractical using today's technology. The current method for working with video is by capturing and converting the analog signal from a video source and either manipulating the image's data(which is written to video tape) or compressing the data using compression techniques(either software-only compression or a combination of hardware and software compression). To display or capture a single screen of an NTSC [National Television System Committee] signal, you must have a video frame grabber.... Real-time frame grabbers capture full-motion video at a rate between 15 and 30 frames-per-second using video compression... 4, record 37, English, - full%2Dmotion%20video

The main units of the AIC are : the focal plane assembly(FPA), equipped with a back-thinned illuminated CCD matrix and a front-end amplifier, provides the optical signal detection. A thermoelectric peltier cooler under the detector sets the operating point at-25°C ± 100 mK, the detection box(BD) which supplies the FPA with the necessary electrical signals to operate the CCD. It generates the clock waveforms from the VEU signals and filters the supplied voltage from the DSU, the video electronics unit(VEU) which processes the analog signal coming from the FPA, digitizes it on 12 bits before passing it on in serial processing to the science data processing subsystem(SDPSS). It also provides the DBs with the primary clock signal. The power conditioning of the VEU is located in the same unit, the detection supply unit(DSU) delivers relevant stabilized voltages to the 5 DUs and power to thermo-coolers from the main supply feeder of the instrument. 2, record 47, English, - analog%20imaging%20chain

Single-frame capture boards enable you to freeze a selected frame and record it to your hard disk. The representation of a general pulse transmission system is given in Figure 8. 1. Here, the information input to the system is encoded in some sense.... This encoded signal drives the modulator, which maps the pulse sequence into an analog wave suitable for transmission over the channel.... At the receiving end, the demodulator maps the received analog waveform into a pulse sequence that is a "best guess" of the sequence transmitted. The decoder operates on the binary sequence to extract the information originally impressed on the encoder. The overall objective is to transfer the information from the input to the output within some a priori specified low error rate, where the error rate is the average number of disagreements per unit of time between the inputs and the outputs. 1, record 76, English, - pulse%20transmission%20system

A transducer which uses voice sound pressure on a diaphragm to compress carbon granules between electrodes. The resulting resistance variation modulates a battery current flowing between the electrodes, thus translating the acoustic message into an analog electrical signal.(SMICO, 71 : 433) As Mrs. Smith talks into her handset, the minute variations in air pressure caused by her voice result in resistance fluctuations in the carbon transmitter.(ENBELL, 80 : 36) 1, record 82, English, - telephone%20transmitter
