The trigger event occurs several dozen nanoseconds ahead of the sample point and initiates a variable monostable that causes successive sample points to occur at an increasing distance from the trigger event. The representation of a general pulse transmission system is given in Figure 8. 1. Here, the information input to the system is encoded in some sense....
