In general, the disclosure relates to a fall detection device that may be uniquely associated with a wearer. The fall detection device may predict and confirm a fall experienced by the wearer based on kinematic information of the wearer. In one example, the disclosure is directed to a device, comprising at least one kinematic sensor that measures kinematic information associated with a wearer of the device, the kinematic information including threshold kinematic information and fall event kinematic information, and a controller that analyzes the threshold kinematic information to determine whether a threshold indicative of a postural disturbance is satisfied, and determines whether a fall event is imminent based on the fall event kinematic information.... at least one kinematic sensor may include one or more of an accelerometer, a magnetometer, a pressure sensor, an altimeter, a velocity sensor, an angular velocity sensor or a gyroscope. 2, record 1, English, - kinematic%20sensor

CVGs [Coriolis vibrating gyroscope] have three features in common : a mechanical resonator, an oscillator and a force-displacement sensor. One mode of the resonator is maintained in resonance by an oscillator loop while oscillations are induced in a second vibration mode. The amplitude of the oscillations gives a signal proportional to the input angular rate. A wide variety of resonators, actuation and sensing schemes are possible. The simplest resonator is a tuning fork. 2, record 2, English, - mechanical%20resonator

... gyros and accelerometers have an offset, known as bias. The gyro bias for instance, shows itself after integration as an angular drift, increasing rise linearly over time(ramp)... To compensate for sensor drift, a process called augmentation is used, whereby gyro and acceleration errors are compensated by utilising other system states. For instance the angular drift error of a gyro after integration can be compensated, if true angular measurements are taken. Comparing the two shows then the gyro drift. Assuming that inertial systems are generally operated around an equilibrium position and thus linear acceleration integrates to zero over time, then attitude can be processed via gravitational acceleration, thus giving true angular measurements to compensate gyro drift. 1, record 4, English, - angular%20drift

Record number: 7, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The angular momentum of a tumbling orbiting satellite is changed to reduce the spinning of the spacecraft such that the spacecraft can operate in an essentially stabilized condition. The change in spin rate is accomplished by the development of a magnetic torque by commutation of magnetic air coils in response to Earth sensor signals controlled by spacecraft logic. The coils are disposed to produce magnetic dipoles transverse to the satellite spin axis such that by interacting with the Earth's magnetic field a torque is developed in a direction opposite the spin vector. The logic selects the proper magnetic dipole based upon data from sensors detecting the presence of the Earth for the development of the desired magnetic torque. 5, record 7, English, - magnetotorquer

Rate gyroscopes provide a means for measuring angular rate about a particular axis and are traditionally used in a variety of high accuracy control and guidance systems in aircraft, missiles and ships. The conventional rate gyro, based on a high speed rotor, is a mature but relatively complex, delicate and expensive product. For these reasons and the increasing market for less expensive devices, a great deal of research effort has been invested into the development of a rate gyro with a vibrating sensitive element, which would eliminate the need for ball bearing suspensions and hence reduce the mechanical complexity and cost whilst greatly increasing life and robustness. The principle of operation of these devices is based on the coriolis force, which couples together two degenerate modes of vibration of the sensitive element when the sensor rotates. 1, record 11, English, - conventional%20rate%20gyro

1, record 11, French, - gyrom%C3%A8tre%20classique

The nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) gyroscope is a rate-integrating single axis gyro that obtains its rotational information from the dynamic angular motion of certain nuclei. The gyro was developed because of its potential to be an accurate, small, highly reliable inertial sensor with low acquisition and life cycle costs. 1, record 13, English, - rate%2Dintegrating%20single%2Daxis%20gyro
