The Archival Climate History Survey(ARCHISS) was launched jointly by the International Council of Archives(ICA), the International Council of Scientific Unions(ICSU), UNESCO and the World Meteorological Organization(WMO) with some support from the United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP). The main objective of the ARCHISS project is to locate and retrieve, through improved cooperation between archivists and climatologists, relevant measured and proxy meteorological information, then to digitize them and to make them available to the international community. 2, record 1, English, - Archival%20Climate%20History%20Survey

L'étude des incidences de la variabilité climatique a conduit à mettre en œuvre, dans le but d'améliorer les possibilités de prévisions hydrologiques, un projet intitulé «Collecte de donnés sur l'histoire du climat à partir de sources d'archives» (ARCHISS, Enquête archivistique sur l'histoire du climat), en collaboration avec l'OMM et le CIA (Conseil international des archives); un premier essai a été réalisé en Europe puis étendu à Cuba et au Mexique. Con el fin de mejorar las posibilidades de efectuar predicciones hidrológicas, el estudio de las consecuencias de la variabilidad del clima llevó a que se estableciera un proyecto titulado: "Estudio de archivos sobre la historia del clima" (ARCHISS), que se llevó a cabo en colaboración con la OMM y la ICA (Consejo Internacional de Archivos).
