The Agrichemical Warehousing Standards Association(AWSA) was founded, and is managed by warehouse operators, manufacturers, distributors and governments working together. Its mission is the continuous improvement of agrichemical warehouse performance in Canada through the establishment of standards to improve environmental protection, working conditions and business risk. The AWSA is an association that has succeeded the Warehousing Committee of the Crop Protection Institute of Canada in activities related to warehousing standards.

L'Association pour les normes d'entreposage des produits agrochimiques (ANEPA) a été fondée par des exploitants d'entrepôts, des fabricants, des distributeurs et les gouvernements qui s'occupent conjointement de la gestion. La mission de l'ANEPA est de continuer les méthodes d'entreposage des produits agrochimiques au Canada grâce à la mise en application de normes pour mieux protéger le milieu, améliorer les conditions de travail et diminuer les risques d'entreprise. L'ANEPA, dont les activités concernent les normes d'entreposage, a succédé au Comité d'entreposage de l'Institut pour la protection des cultures du Canada.

AWSA was founded in Egypt in 1982. It was established by a group of 120 women who agreed that the struggle for the liberation of Arab people and freedom from economic, cultural and media domination cannot be separated from the liberation of Arab women.
