5, record 1, French, - cong%C3%A9lateur%20de%20laboratoire%20%C3%A0%20%2D80%20%C2%B0C

Analysis of Molecular Variance(AMOVA) is a method for studying molecular variation within a species. Electrophoresis, one of the most widely used methods for studying the structure of DNA, produces data of the form of 0s and 1s where 1 denotes the presence of a band and zero its absence, e. g. Sample Band A 0101... B 1000... C 0110... AMOVA works on such data to create a distance matrix between samples in order to measure the genetic structure of a population. In statistical terms, AMOVA is a testing procedure based on permutational analysis and involves few assumptions. 3, record 4, English, - analysis%20of%20molecular%20variance

[A factor] represented by a term in the van Deemter equation. It is the contribution to plate height that is due to molecules traveling along paths through the column and it depends on the particle size and geometry of the packing. 2, record 5, English, - eddy%20diffusion%20term
Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Eddy diffusion broadens the band when passing through the column and detected in the chromatography. This is due to the molecules of the sample traveling through the column along many different paths of different lengths. The shortest path is the front of the band and the longest path is located in the back of the band. This can be corrected if the band is broad and the column support is of small size and uniform. This effect may be described by the van Deemter equation. H=A+(B/u) +Cu. Where M is the flow rate, A is the eddy diffusion term, B/u is the longitudinal diffusion term and Cu is the mass-transfer rate term. The eddy diffusion is independent of the flow-rate and only is concerned by how the column was packed. 1, record 5, English, - eddy%20diffusion%20term

With [Y-bar sub X], we distinguish estimates of the dependent variable from the observed data points, which(...) are denoted by the symbol Y. When the expression [Y-bar sub less X=a + bX] is applied to a specific X, the resulting [Y-bar sub X] is a predicted value for the dependent variable.(...) the values a and b in this expression are found from sample data.
