3, record 1, French, - g%C3%A9niteur%20r%C3%A9current

The desired characteristics such as disease resistance, plant type and seed type, are introduced into a high quality variety by crossing it with a variety known to have such desired characters but often of low milling and baking quality. The progeny is then backcrossed to the original high quality parent. After each backcross, plants that contain the desired characteristics of the low quality parent are selected before the next backcross is make. 1, record 2, English, - low%20quality%20parent

1, record 2, French, - parent%20de%20moindre%20qualit%C3%A9

Wide crossing as a feature of programmes designed to generate allopolyploids... are concerned with the transfer of genes or of relatively small blocks of foreign chromosome across inter-specific boundaries so that the recurrent parent genomes are left substantially unaltered... the process is always essentially a backcross system. 1, record 3, English, - wide%20crossing

1, record 3, French, - croisement%20%C3%A9loign%C3%A9
