2, record 23, French, - %C3%A9quation%20de%20Cambridge

A statement which discloses the government's cash balances and investments, and amounts owing to and by the government at the end of the year. It differs in some ways from a conventional private sector balance sheet. Two major differences concern items that are not reported on this statement : capital assets, having been accounted for as expenditures, and tax revenues receivable since tax revenues are reported on a cash basis. The difference, therefore, between total assets and total liabilities is simply the aggregate of annual budgetary deficits and surpluses determined in accordance with the accounting policies of the government. 2, record 24, English, - Statement%20of%20Assets%20and%20Liabilities

Cash control records. To control cash expenditures in relation to allotments, control records must be maintained for each allotment. Normally, this involves keeping manual records in each office where payment authority is exercised. In these records the opening balance of each allotment is recorded, the amounts applicable to each allotment from each batch of cheque requisitions passed for payment or journal entry are posted, and the balances are reduced so that at all times the amounts of cash authority remaining can be determined. 1, record 52, English, - cash%20control%20record

We thus visualize a firm as a "homeostatic" process, by which a certain structure of variables is maintained. At the simplest level, we suppose that there is "homeostasis of the balance sheet"’ on this assumption any change in balance sheet variables will evoke a counteracting behavior. If somebody buys a product from the firm, this lowers its inventory and raises cash. 1, record 57, English, - homeostatic%20process
