An actual decline in the general level of prices in the economy. 2, record 5, English, - deflation
Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The cause is usually a protracted slowdown in economic activity brought about by a contractionary or restrictive monetary policy. Deflationary policies may be pursued to bring down the rate of inflation or improve the balance of payments by tightening up monetary policy and fiscal policy. Demand falls, interest rates rises, and credit is harder to obtain, and the resulting decline in economic activity, if long enough, will lead to an actual fall in real estate, commodity and other prices. 2, record 5, English, - deflation

A mathematical expression of the rate of deaths of fish due to fishing. 5, record 7, English, - fishing%20mortality%20rate
Record number: 7, Textual support number: 1 CONT
In its simplest form, the fishing mortality rate is the rate at which fish are removed from the stock by harvesting. Think of fish stock as money in an interest-bearing bank account. If the interest is five percent per year, the bank account balance will grow as long as you withdraw less than five percent per year. If you withdraw more than five percent per year, the bank principal will decrease.... The interest rate in this example is equivalent to the stock's growth rate. The withdrawal rate is equivalent to the fishing mortality rate. Biological reference points based on fishing mortality help managers keep the withdrawal rate at a level that will ensure the long-term production or stability of the stock. 6, record 7, English, - fishing%20mortality%20rate

The first step in the development method is to lay out the most economically feasible subdivision plan and estimate the gross income from the sale of the lots, as if the tract were fully subdivided and sold. From the anticipated gross revenues, the next step is to deduct the total cost of development : the cost of installing streets and utilities, the expense of marketing the lots, interest charges on money borrowed, the cost of administration; professional fees, taxes, overhead, and the developer's profit for undertaking the venture. The balance is presumed to be the value of the raw land-the price which a developer would likely pay for the tract "as is", to be used for subdivision purposes. 1, record 12, English, - development%20method

1, record 12, French, - m%C3%A9thode%20du%20lotissement

An instrument which responds to density changes in the gas stream, directly related to the molecular weights. Several forms of gas density balance have been developed since this type of detector was first introduced by Martin and James. Improvements in instrumentation have led to a revival of interest in it as a detector system suitable for molecular-weight studies. The density changes are measured by means of a form of U-tube, one limb of which contains pure carrier gas and the other column effluent gas. An anemometer situated between the two limbs detects and measures any density difference. Using nitrogen or argon carrier gas the limit of detection is 0. 4 μg, response is linear with concentration, and it can be used for molecular weight determinations for values below 200 and for percentage composition studies. 5, record 23, English, - gas%20density%20balance

Soft loans are made by the special lending facility of a multinational development bank(for example, the Asian Development Fund and the African Development Fund) or the International Development Association, an affiliate of the World Bank. Regular savings accounts pay higher rates of interest than daily interest accounts-usually about three-quarters of a percentage point higher. Interest is calculated on the minimum monthly balance in your account, but the interest is usually only paid twice a year. If you deposited $1, 000 in your account on the first day of the month, then withdrew $250 on the 15th and another $250 on the 25th, let's say, you would earn interest for that month on $500-the minimum amount in your account during the month. 1, record 63, English, - minimum%20monthly%20balance
