The Northern Research Institute, announced in 1989, opened at the Ayamdigut Campus of Yukon College in 1992, after several years of planning. Initially supported by assistance from the Donner Canada Foundation, the NRI's creation allowed Yukon College to formalize its institutional commitment to research. As a member of the Association of the Traditional Osteopathic Colleges of Canada(ATOCC), the mission of the Canadian College of Osteopathy(CCO) is to provide high quality education to qualified students who wish to enter the field of Traditional Osteopathy.
