Direct listings are an alternative to initial public offerings(IPOs) in which a company does not work with an investment bank to underwrite the issuing of stock. While forgoing the safety net of an underwriter provides a company with a quicker, less expensive way to raise capital, the opening stock price will be completely subject to market demand and potential market swings. In a direct listing, instead of raising new outside capital like an IPO, a company's employees and investors convert their ownership into stock that is then listed on a stock exchange. Once the stock is listed shares can be purchased by the general public … 2, record 14, English, - direct%20public%20offering

The acceleration principle received its name from the accelerated effect of a change in production or income on levels of investment-equipment or inventory. We build a simple dynamic model of the business cycle with monopolistically competitive firms. With simple assumptions concerning firm entry and exit, the model can explain some important stylised facts of the business cycle which standard real business cycle models with perfect competition cannot predict. 1, record 70, Spanish, - coste%20de%20capital

The opportunity cost of using investment resources in a project rather than in their next best alternative use; usually expressed in the form of an interest rate. The reduction in non-project benefits in relation to project objectives that is a result of using capital in the project. In practice, usually a weighted average calculation of the cost of securing project capital from various sources. In financial analysis, the weighted average cost to the firm or farm of equity capital and of borrowed capital from likely sources. In economic analysis, usually the weighted average cost of capital to the economy as a whole, but sometimes the weighted average cost of capital to the public sector. The rate at which benefits and costs are discounted in calculating the net present worth, the net benefit-investment ratio, or the benefit-cost ratio. The cut-off rate for project analysis, and hence the minimum acceptable internal rate of return. 3, record 87, English, - opportunity%20cost%20of%20capital

1, record 87, Spanish, - costo%20de%20oportunidad%20del%20capital

When using the net benefit-investment ratio, the selection criterion is to accept all projects with a net benefit-investment ratio of 1 or greater when discounted at a suitable discount rate, most often the opportunity cost of capital, in order of ratio value until all available investment funds are exhausted. An important class of inferences dealing with open sets(i. e. incomplete knowledge). Contradiction is commonly used by people to make negative inferences. Computationally, some inferences by contradiction can be achieved by the addition of two types of markers in a semantic net. First, a pair of relations can be marked as being mutually exclusive(a given object cannot be a city and a river, though it can be a city and a capital). Secondly, exhaustive sets can be marked as closed. This ensures that properties of subparts collectively imply the same properties for the whole(if no country on a continent is known to produce sugar, then it can be inferred that the continent does not produce sugar, provided that the available set of its countries is marked as closed). 1, record 95, English, - negative%20inference
