The cost of maintaining offenders is an exercise that determines the cost of maintaining an offender for one year in the categories of female, maximum, medium, minimum, CCC and conditional release.

OBS

In the determination of these costs, the costs associated with major construction, minor construction, capital contributions and capital equipment are excluded. As well, this exercise involves the reallocation of costs from sites that provide common services to those sites that receive common services.

Le coût d'entretien d'un délinquant correspond à ce qu'il en coûte pour entretenir un délinquant durant un an. Ce coût est déterminé pour les diverses catégories de délinquant : détenus de sexe féminin, détenus incarcérés dans un établissement à sécurité minimale, moyenne ou maximale, délinquants des deux sexes gardés dans un CCC ou en liberté sous condition.

N'entrent pas dans le calcul de ce coût les dépenses en capital principales, les dépenses en capital secondaires, les contributions pour dépenses en capital et les dépenses en capital pour des biens d'équipement. En outre, la détermination du coût d'entretien d'un délinquant permet d'attribuer à ceux qui reçoivent des services communs une partie des coûts de ceux qui fournissent de tels services.
