A cerebrovascular accident(CVA) is the result of an interruption of blood flow to a specific area of the brain(i. e., cerebral ischemia). Ischemia of cells directly causes cellular necrosis(death) and infarct(area of tissue that has become necrotic from lack of blood supply)... Ischemia can be caused by :cerebral thrombosis... ;an embolus... ;intracerebral hemorrhage... ;pressure on a blood vessel... 4, record 1, English, - cerebrovascular%20accident

Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST) occurs when a blood clot forms in the brain's venous sinuses. This prevents blood from draining out of the brain. As a result, blood cells may break and leak blood into the brain tissues, forming a hemorrhage. 4, record 3, English, - cerebral%20venous%20sinus%20thrombosis

3, record 3, French, - thrombose%20d%27un%20sinus%20veineux%20c%C3%A9r%C3%A9bral
