CONT

Machine learning is reinventing computer vision inspection on the assembly line.... In many factories, inspecting units involves laying down a transparency with physically-drawn lines onto a computer screen, and having a human operator attempt to tell if the unit falls within these guidelines. Traditional computer vision automates and improves upon this process by relying on a "list" of human-constructed rules for it to check and follow.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Intelligence artificielle
  • Automatisation et applications
CONT

This second DIAL-A-FLAP setting is normally pre-selected to 15 degrees by the crew during their climb check procedures, and is used to slow the aircraft down, during initial approach, to the Vmin speed(for the current aircraft configuration) plus 20 knots.

Line check. This is a most important part of the packing sequence. If the lines are clear there is every chance the canopy will deploy, however scruffily you pack it.

CONT

After the brakes have been set, perform the line check. Make sure there are no twists in the risers. Isolate the steering lines(on rear riser), the "C" & "D" Lines(also on rear riser) and the "A" & "D"(on the front riser) on each hand as shown. Walk forward to the canopy making sure the steering lines are free and clear of all other lines, from the tail all the way down to the riser,(both right and left sides).

Describe the landing performance and limitations of the training helicopter type. Describe how to land on sloping ground as follows : establish a steady hover; lower collective gently until the upslope skid contacts the ground; continue lowering the collective, at the same time moving the cyclic gently towards the slope maintaining a level attitude; when both skids are in full contact with the ground, smoothly lower the collective until it is fully down. Prevent yaw throughout. Carry out a seating check by making small gentle movements of the collective and pedals. when certain the helicopter will not slide centre the cyclic and reduce RPM, if required.

A few parts of the house deserve particular attention... around doors and windows... where the wood-frame wall meets the masonry... around doors into unheated attic... There is an easy way to tell whether or not any of the above areas need work.... make yourself a draft gauge. All you need is a metal clothes hanger, a plastic sandwich bag(or a piece of light tissue paper), a pair of scissors and two clothes pins. Cut the sandwich bag down each side and wrap one end over the cross-bar of the clothes hanger. Use the clothes pins to fasten the bag to the bar. Check for drafts, on a cold day, in all suspected areas. Hold the gauge steady by the handle of the hanger with the plastic bag close to the suspected areas. If any breeze is coming in, the movement of the plastic will show you where.
