[The Code of Service Discipline] applies to all members of the Canadian Armed Forces as well as to civilian personnel accompanying a unit of the Armed Forces on service or active service. The Code provides a system of disciplinary offences designed to further the good order and proper functioning of the Armed Forces. It also makes most offences under the Criminal Code and certain other federal laws to be military offences as well if committed by those subject to military law.
