Computational capability has been developed to calculate sensitivity coefficients of generalized responses with respect to cross-section data in the SCALE code system. The focus of this paper is the implementation of generalized perturbation theory (GPT) for one-dimensional and two-dimensional deterministic neutron transport calculations. GPT is briefly summarized for computing sensitivity coefficients for reaction rate ratio responses within the existing framework of the TSUNAMI sensitivity and uncertainty (S/U) analysis code package in SCALE. GPT provides the capability to analyze generalized responses related to reactor analysis, such as homogenized cross-sections, relative powers, and conversion ratios, as well as measured experimental parameters.

TSUNAMI originally focused on keff responses for criticality safety analysis and included the capability to compute sensitivity coefficients using forward and adjoint solutions from three-dimensional Monte Carlo or one-dimensional(1D) discrete ordinates eigenvalue calculations.

The first six items of the Code relate to primary prevention : no smoking, moderate alcohol intake, no excessive exposure to sunlight, respect safety instructions, regular consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as high-fiber foods, and avoid excessive body weight. The last four items concern secondary prevention. They recommend to see a physician in the case of a changing beauty spot, an appearing nodule, an abnormal blood loss, a persistent cough or hoarse voice, a persistent stool change or an unexplained loss of body weight. Women are advised to examine their breast regularly, to have a smear of the cervix uteri periodically, and to have mammographies taken as from the age of 50.

Greg Ingraham, planner and landscape architect, stated the interpretation requiring foundation planting area in Edina's Code is an incorrect interpretation of the code. Mr. Ingraham believes this because he said the code says setback not planting area, there are no projects that totally comply with the requirement. He continued there is a fundamental problem with requiring foundation planting area around a storage facility because it does not further the basic tenet of zoning(public health, safety and welfare) Mr. Ingraham stated he did not see how the public good was served by the planting requirement. He continued that applying the foundation requirement would make the facility unusable.

Foundation planting is typically added to a building as an afterthought to the building’s design in order to "dress it up". Today, foundation planting is nothing more than an outdated practice in cosmetics that was once applied to hide exposed foundations.
