CONT

The cost efficient production of sandwich materials and parts has been the main driving force behind these developments. Textile production technology(i. e. carpet weaving) as well as packaging production processes(i. e. corrugated cardboard or air bubble foil) have been exploited, and adapted for composite sandwich material production.

Sandwichs : Matériaux composés de deux semelles (ou peaux) de grande rigidité et de faible épaisseur enveloppant une âme (ou cœur) de forte épaisseur et faible résistance. L'ensemble forme une structure d'une grande légèreté. Le matériau sandwich possède une grande légèreté en flexion et c'est un excellent isolant thermique.

The outer protection of a composite or combination packaging together with any absorbent materials, cushioning and any other components necessary to contain and protect inner receptacles or inner packagings.

CONT

The inner packagings must be separated from the outer packaging by a gap of not less than 25 mm filled with cushioning material, e.g. sawdust, wood wool.

OBS

Do not confuse with "overwrapping" or "overpack," in French: "suremballage," which designate a non-reusable enclosure used by a single consignor to consolidate two or more packages for convenience in handling, and which consists of a variation of bundle-wrapping wherein identical products are arranged or collated into multiples of 2-, 6-, 10- or 12-pack units and overwrapped, the overwrapping being accomplised by a machine called an "overwrapper."

Les emballages intérieurs doivent être séparés de l'emballage extérieur par un espace d'au moins 25 mm rempli d'un matériau de rembourrage tel que la sciure de bois ou la laine de bois.

Ne pas confondre avec «suremballage» (en anglais : «overwrapping» ou «overpack»), qui désigne une enveloppe non réutilisable, pellicule ou housse plastique appliquée par une machine appelée «suremballeuse», dans laquelle l'expéditeur réunit deux emballages ou plus pour en faciliter la manutention.

Une fois assemblé, il demeure par la suite un seul élément intégral; comme tel, il est rempli, emmagasiné, expédié et vidé.
