The cockpit management system keeps the flight engineer and the rest of the crew aware of all the aircraft's systems... This system data [can be used] to make the proper decision on each particular aircraft discrepancy. Also, this data can be downloaded after the flight, so the aircrew and maintainers can get a good cross-flow on how the aircraft performed during the flight. 4, record 12, English, - cockpit%20management%20system

A Lancaster crew numbered seven : the pilot, flight engineer, navigator, wireless operator, bomb aimer, mid-upper gunner, and rear gunner.... The mid-upper gunner and rear-gunner were responsible for the defence of the aircraft. Separated from the rest of the crew, they remained cramped at their machine gun posts for the entire flight. The primary role was not to shoot down enemy aircraft. Rather it was to perform the role of a lookout. When they spotted enemy fighters, they would instruct the pilot to take evasive action. Their. 303 calibre guns were no match for the Luftwaffe night fighters. 2, record 15, English, - mid%2Dupper%20gunner
