The Community Relations Group(CRG) is comprised of three sections, the Aboriginal Liaison Unit(ALU), the Activist/Protestor Unit and the Business and Community Liaison Unit. Since 2006, the CRG has built a network of partnerships within federal, provincial and municipal agencies. The ALU's Standard Operating Procedures(SOP) have been created respecting federal, provincial and pre-existing municipal regulations and procedures within different policing agencies, such as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Vancouver Police Department, the West Vancouver Police Department, and the Stl' atl' imx Tribal Police. The CRG members have worked together, familiarizing themselves with the various portfolios in order to ensure a seamless support network during the 2010 Winter Games.

Le Groupe des relations avec la communauté (Groupe des RC) est formé de trois groupes, soit le Groupe de la liaison avec les Autochtones (GLA), le Groupe de la liaison avec les activistes et les manifestants (GLAM) et le Groupe de la liaison avec les collectivités et les entreprises (GLCE). Depuis 2006, les membres du GLCE entretiennent un dialogue avec le public, les entreprises et les groupes communautaires et leur fournit de l’information à jour sur les plans de sécurité au moyen d’exposés et de communication en personne. Le GLCE a ainsi établi un réseau de partenaires (groupes et organismes) au sein des collectivités touchées par les Jeux olympiques. Les méthodes de fonctionnement normalisées du GLCE ont été créées en conformité avec les lois fédérales et provinciales et les règlements municipaux existants ainsi qu’avec les façons de faire des différents services de police, notamment la Gendarmerie royale du Canada (GRC), le Service de police de Vancouver, le Service de police de West Vancouver et la Police tribale des Stl'atl'imx. Les membres du Groupe des RC ont travaillé ensemble et se sont familiarisés avec les divers secteurs afin d’assurer un soutien continu durant les Jeux d’hiver de 2010.
