1, record 3, French, - politique%20du%20faire%20ou%20faire%20faire

If a collective agreement cannot be achieved through negotiations, with or without the assistance of a mediator, voluntary interest arbitration can be considered. This option is available at any time during the collective bargaining negotiation process. This applies to any kind of bargaining, public or private sector, whether the right to strike/lockout exists, whether there are significant differences between the parties, and whether a dispute strike/lockout is imminent or underway. Both parties must agree to this process. Arbitration is binding. The ICBL was launched in October 1992 by a group of six non-governmental organizations : Handicap International, Human Rights Watch, Medico International, Mines Advisory Group, Physicians for Human Rights and Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation. These founding organizations witnessed the horrendous effect of mines on the communities they were working with in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America and saw how mines hampered and even prevented their development efforts in these countries. The International Campaign to Ban Landmines(ICBL) is a global network in over 70 countries that works for a world free of antipersonnel landmines and cluster munitions, where landmine and cluster munition survivors can lead fulfilling lives. The Campaign was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of its efforts to bring about the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty. Since then, we have been advocating for the words of the treaty to become a reality, demonstrating on a daily basis that civil society has the power to change the world. As a member of the Cluster Munition Coalition, the ICBL is engaged in the global effort to ban cluster munitions and to address their humanitarian impact. In December 2006, the ICBL decided to engage extensively in the global effort to prohibit cluster munitions. This marked the first time that the ICBL had become significantly engaged on an issue other than antipersonnel mines. The main reasons for the ICBL' s decision were that cluster munitions inevitably end up leaving behind large numbers of unexploded ’duds’ which behave essentially like antipersonnel mines; that many ICBL members had been already working extensively on cluster munitions; and that international efforts to achieve a global ban on cluster munitions were at a crucial point, a point where the ICBL could have a meaningful impact. 1, record 19, English, - International%20Campaign%20to%20Ban%20Landmines

1, record 19, French, - Campagne%20internationale%20pour%20interdire%20les%20mines

Mothballing is the process of stabilizing a facility so that no damage occurs to the facility should it make sense at a later time to incur the capital expenditures associated with continuing to operate, extending the life, or repowering the facility. Typically, a decision to mothball a facility might be made as a hedge against, or in anticipation of, changes in market conditions; i. e., increases in relative fuel prices, or an increase in the value of installed capacity.... Typical activities involved in mothballing a facility might include the following types of activities intended to preserve existing equipment :-’Racking Out’ or removal and storage of motor control center circuit breakers or 'switchgear’(this would also be done for a facility that has been retired and is scheduled for dismantling)-Placing a heat source or desiccants in the furnace to maintain a temperature above the dew point(at which condensation collects and corrodes the boiler structures.)-The application of grease or other coatings to reduce corrosion of components such as pumps and motors.-The installation of an air desiccant system to blow dry air through the steam turbine, condenser, boiler tubes and pipes. 2, record 21, English, - mothballing

The problem comes in making the decision to play games straight through the trip, or take a day off in the middle of the week. I have always believed that, at this time in the season, we need to play games. I’m always afraid to take a day off because if we get rained out a day before our day off, or a day after the rest day, we would be sitting with two days off. That is too much time away from the diamond for the field players, and too much rest time when we can get the necessary repetitions outside. 4, record 52, English, - rest%20day

The project, which title was "A Comprehensive Forecasting System for Flood Risk Mitigation and Control"(AFORISM)(Todini, 1995c) aimed at verifying different approaches in rainfall modelling as well as in rainfall-runoff modelling and their integration in a decision support system both for planning and for real time flood forecasting and management. In order to do so a feasibility study, based upon the Reno river, aiming at integrating all the innovative technologies in an operational decision support tool for flood forecasting and flood impact analysis was carried out by the following research groups. 2, record 55, English, - A%20Comprehensive%20Forecasting%20System%20for%20Flood%20Risk%20Mitigation%20and%20Control

Firstly, a failure in DCS could affect the ability of participants to pledge collateral for LVTS purposes. In this case the Association would need to communicate with CDS to determine the expected time for CDS [Canadian Depository for Securities Limited] to be back up and fully operational. At this point, a decision would have to be made by CDS whether to move to CDS's interim manual pledging mechanism.
