DEGREE HYDROLYSIS [5 records]

Record 1 1993-04-30

English

Subject field(s)
  • Chemical Engineering
CONT

... the characteristic level of degree of polymerization(LODP) of acid hydrolysis processes.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Génie chimique
CONT

(...) le LODP (level of degree of polymerization) caractéristique de l'hydrolyse acide.

Record 2 1988-03-30

English

Subject field(s)
  • Plastic Materials
CONT

... hydrolysis is accomplished by treating a polyacrylamide solution with a strong base, e.g. sodium hydroxide. The percentage of amide groups which have been changed to carboxyl groups is denoted as the per cent hydrolysis.

Key term(s)
  • degree of hydrolysis

French

Domaine(s)
  • Matières plastiques
OBS

(...) deux types de polymères (...) ont été utilisés 1) un échantillon de polyacrylamide hydrolysé (...) industriel en poudre (...) de degré d'hydrolyse proche de 30% (...)

Record 3 1988-03-30

English

Subject field(s)
  • Rheology
CONT

Martin and Sherwood(1975)... related their observations regarding polymer retention and mobility reduction in porous media. They found that polymer reduction decreased as the degree of hydrolysis increased.

OBS

The hydrolyzed polymer has a larger effective diameter which leads to a higher resistance factor or reduced mobility.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Rhéologie
CONT

Record 5 1982-08-05

English

Subject field(s)
  • Electrolysis (Electrokinetics)
  • Electrochemistry
  • Chemistry
CONT

In reaction(2) in which the reactants NH4+ + H2O form a reversible reaction with the products NH3 + H3O+, the hydrolysis of an ammonium salt(for example, ammonium chloride), would be termed the degree of hydrolysis and K the hydrolysis constant. In terms of the general definition of acids and bases, however, K could equally be called the acidity constant for the acid-base pair NH4+-NH3, and this is a more rational way of describing the process.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Électrolyse (Électrocinétique)
  • Électrochimie
  • Chimie
DEF

Rapport du nombre de molécules hydrolysées au nombre initial de molécules mises dans l'eau.

OBS

C'est le degré de dissociation, ou degré d'ionisation, des réactions acide-base appliqué à l'hydrolyse.
