A Kelvin Unit refers to a thermometric scale in which the degree intervals are equal to those of the Celsius scale and in which zero(0) degrees equals-273. 15 degrees Celsius(absolute zero).

There are two widely used thermometric scales based on the freezing and boiling point of water at a pressure of one atmosphere: the Fahrenheit (F) scale (32° = freezing, 212° = boiling) and the Celsius (C), or Centigrade, scale (0° = freezing, 100° = boiling).

Thermodynamic scale of temperature (TK) defined by assigning to the triple point of pure water the temperature of 273.16 K.

A temperature scale can be defined theoretically for which zero degree corresponds to zero average kinetic energy... Such a point is called absolute zero, and such a scale is known as an absolute temperature scale. The Kelvin temperature scale is an absolute scale having degrees the same size as those of the Celsius temperature scale; the Rankine temperature scale is an absolute scale having degrees the same size as those of the Fahrenheit temperature scale.

Le Kelvin (K) est l'unité SI de température. Il mesure la température absolue, grandeur définie par la thermodynamique.

When the color of a light source is visually identical to, or extremely close to that of the ideal radiator, which has been heated to a certain temperature, the temperature is defined as the color temperature of the light source and is expressed in degrees Kelvin(K). Taking 10 to the sixth times the reciprocal of the color temperature and calling this unit a "Mired"(micro reciprocal degree), the unit is used to represent conversion values. These filters are used for either lowering or raising the color temperature of a light source.
