While certain characteristics of each consultant trust fund differ, in general terms the consultant trust funds are a means of furthering dialogue and collaboration between CIDA and the Multilateral Development Banks(MDBs) and exposing Canadian expertise to the MDBs. Overall administration and management of the consultant trust funds rests with the MDB itself based on guidelines to which it has agreed with CIDA. This includes identification of possible assignments, and selection and contracting of consultants. CIDA funds projets supporting the peace process in the Middle East. The Canadian Fund for Dialogue and Development encourages contact and cooperation on key development issues through seminars, conferences and workshops. The Consultant Services Fund supports Canadian involvement in the multilateral negotiations of the peace process. A new project will soon provide core water-management training for the three key parties in the peace process. a) Projets régionaux : L'ACDI finance des projets à l'appui du processus de paix au Moyen-Orient. Le Fonds canadien pour le dialogue et le développement encourage la prise de contact et la coopération sur des questions clés de développement, par le biais de séminaires, de conférences et d'ateliers. Le Fonds pour les services d'experts-aviseurs appuie la participation canadienne aux négociations multilatérales du processus de paix. Un nouveau projet permettra bientôt d'assurer une formation commune des trois parties principales du processus de paix en matière de gestion de l'eau. b) Liban : Un projet bilatéral appuie le gouvernement du Liban dans l'élaboration de stratégies et de politiques pour la réforme de l'administration publique. Un deuxième projet soutient la réforme de la fiscalité.
