PHOTO TRANSPORT SYSTEM. After photographers have made their images, they may utilize the SOCOG [Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games] Photo Transport System and have their film or disks taken to either an on-site photo lab or to the MPC [Main Press Center] for processing. Photo Marshals and Photo Messengers within the venue will collect properly identified and bagged film/disks and prepare them for transport. The film will be dispatched to the MPC via motorcycle couriers who will transport film bags from each venue to the Kodak Image Center. 1, record 1, English, - photo%20transport%20system

All helicopters incorporate a one-way clutch system that allows the rotor blades to continue to rotate under the effects of inertia and autogiro-type flight in the event of engine failure.... the flow of the airstream through the helicopter rotor disk is reversed. The force of gravity continues the operation of the rotor blade, thereby reducing the rate of descent and allowing a successful emergency landing. Because of the time required to effect this change and the necessity for other flight maneuvers, these characteristics led to the development of a restricted area of operations of the helicopter known as the deadman's curve, bounding that area of height and speed in which the helicopter should not be operated. 1, record 2, English, - deadman%26rsquo%3Bs%20curve

The knee has two cartilage disks, called menisci, that are attached to the top portion of the tibia(the large lower leg bone). The lateral meniscus is located on the outer side of the knee joint, and the medial meniscus is on the inner side. These two wedge-shaped discs form a cradle for the cartilage covered condyles of the femur. The minisci absorb shock, and serve to cushion the knee. An injury to a meniscus may take the form of a small or large tear, a split in the disk, or a frayed or roughly torn area. 3, record 15, English, - medial%20meniscus

To target a specific area on the Earth disk, the scanning thresholds can be set so that a reduced number of forward scan lines are included in each scan cycle. Since these reduced scans can be completed in less time than a full Earth disk scan, reduced scans can provide imagery with a higher temporal resolution than that of the normal half-hourly full Earth disk scans. This mode of scanning is often referred to as reduced scanning or rapid scanning. It should be noted that in rapid scan imaging mode the spin rate, the stepping rate, the number of pixels per line of image data and the resolution of the image data are identical to that for normal full Earth disk scans. 2, record 16, English, - scan%20imaging

Mercury probes are precision instruments that enable rapid, convenient, and non-destructive measurements of semiconductor samples by probing wafers with mercury to form contacts of well-defined area. The probes may be connected to C-V plotters, curve tracers, or doping profilers for a variety of measurements. Mercury probes eliminate time consuming metallizations and their convenience make them tools for production process monitoring applications. Mercury probes either contact wafers with a single circular mercury dot contact on the front surface and a large area metal disk for low resistance back contact, or they contact semiconductor wafers with concentric dot and ring mercury electrodes as well as a backside contact. 1, record 18, English, - mercury%20probe
