2, record 13, French, - soudure%20en%20bout%20par%20r%C3%A9sistance%20pure

There are basically three types of pilot burners : 1) the millivolt; 2) the bi metal; and 3) the liquid filled.... The bimetal pilot is named so because of the sensing element. The sensing element is made of two dissimilar metals welded together so that they become one piece. The two metals have different expansion rates and this causes the two metals to bend when heated. As the bimetal element is heated by the pilot flame, a movable contact is pushed toward a stationary contact. When these contacts touch, an electrical circuit is completed through them. This control is usually employed to operate in the control, or low voltage, circuit. 1, record 17, English, - bimetal%20pilot

There are basically three types of pilot burners :(1) the millivolt;(2) the bimetal; and(3) the liquid filled. The millivolt type can be divided into the thermocouple and the thermopile. The thermocouple is an electricity producing device made of dissimilar metals. One end of the metal is heated and is called the hot junction, while the other end remains cool and is called the cold junction. The output of a thermocouple is approximately 30 millivolts(mV) when heated to a temperature of about 3, 200 ° 2, record 18, English, - thermocouple%20pilot

1, record 18, French, - appareil%20de%20s%C3%A9curit%C3%A9%20%C3%A0%20thermocouple

When two dissimilar metals are brought into contact, they give rise to an electrostatic potential difference equal to the difference of the work functions of the two metals(the Volta potential). At the interface of the metal couple, a bipolar electronic layer is established which attracts or repels mobile electrons, depending on the direction of the current flow. 1, record 19, English, - Volta%20potential
