Radiofrequency gangliolysis (RFG) involves wounding the gasserian ganglion, the large, flat root of the trigeminal nerve. Sin embargo, algunas veces se emplean como sinónimos fusión, adquisición, amalgamación y absorción. Cuando dos empresas que están en el mismo negocio, es decir, son competidoras, se fusionan, esto se conoce como integración horizontal o lateral. As used in ordinary parlance, "cruelty" signifies a disposition to inflict suffering; to delight in or exhibit indifference to the pain or misery of others; mercilessness or hard-heartedness as exhibited in action. If in the marriage relationship, one spouse by his conduct causes wanton, malicious or unnecessary infliction of pain or suffering upon the body, the feelings or emotions of the other, his conduct may well constitute cruelty which will entitle a petitioner to dissolution of the marriage if, in the court's opinion, it amounts to physical or mental cruelty "of such a kind as to render intolerable the continued cohabitation of the spouses. In a type of karst known as cutter-and-pinnacle karst, the contact between bedrock and soil overburden is very irregular ... Water preferentially dissolves bedrock along some planar feature, such as bedding, joints, or fractures, whichever is the easier path. Roughly vertical, solutionally widened joints are called cutters, or grikes. Cutters are generally filled with soil. The bedrock that remains between cutters may be reduced to relatively narrow "ridges" of rock, called pinnacles, particularly where cutters are closely spaced. Cutter-and-pinnacle karst (or simply "pinnacle karst" for short) is common in many of the carbonate valleys in Maryland ... ... in pinnacle karst, part of the foundation may be supported by a bedrock pinnacle and part may be supported by a cutter (soil-filled). The result can be differential settling of the building, which may produce cracks in the walls, foundation, and floor ... compromise the structural soundness of the bearing walls and, therefore, place the safety of the whole structure in doubt. 2, record 86, English, - pinnacle%20karst

The prerequisite for glasses and glass-ceramics to bond to living bone is the formation of biologically active bonelike apatite on their surfaces in the body. Our previous study showed that a silica gel prepared by a hydrolysis and polycondensation of tetraethoxysilane in aqueous solution containing poly(ethylene glycol) induces apatite nucleation on its surface in a simulated body fluid. In the present study, the effects of heat treatment of silica gel on its catalytic effects in apatite nucleation was investigated in a simulated body fluid. It was found that apatite forms on the surfaces of silica gels heat-treated below 800 C, but not on those heat-treated above 900 C. The volume of nanometer-range pores in the gel remarkably decreased by heat treatment above 900 C. The concentration of silanol groups in the silica gels gradually decreased with increasing heat treatment temperature. The rate of silica dissolution from the gel into the simulated body fluid decreased remarkably by heat treatment above 900 C. This suggested that a special type of silanol group which is formed by soaking the gel treated below 800 C into the simulated body fluid is responsible for apatite nucleation. 3, record 87, English, - simulated%20body%20fluid
